I was born and raised on the edge of a village in Brabant in the Netherlands. I remember so well how much I loved the smell of grass and playing outside with the kids around and with some dogs that didn't seem to have a home. In my imagination they were mine.

After high school, I studied dance, and after graduating in 1993 I worked as an educator, performer, and choreographer.

In 2007, I moved from the Netherlands to Norway. Besides working with dance, I started writing stories and some years later, I also started to experiment with paper, pencil, paint, scissors, glue, and Photoshop. I love texture and working with different media.
I got some client work, took several courses, and enjoyed this totally new thing that became a passion.

Now, I make collages and mixed-media illustrations and draw faces almost every day. I also work in the art school in our village where I create space for children and adults to play and develop their creativity and artistic skills.

I love to share my passion for telling little stories with colors, shapes, lines, and composition.

Besides making illustrations and collages, I love hiking, the pastel colors when life plunges far below zero, the wild river when the snow melts, and endless views of nowhere land.
